Do you have sleep meds? For a long time, hydroxyzine & Trazodone worked for me (hydroxyzine to help me fall asleep, Trazodone to stay asleep). That stopped working, but there had been a time I took low dose Seroquel to sleep; now I'm on a higher dose for mania (it helps me sleep) with Clonidine & melatonin. Seroquel usually puts me out though. Can you call your pdoc, say you are not sleeping? It seems like the hospital is discharging you too quickly...is there another hospital you can go to? Or maybe you need a new pdoc? I am aware though that it can be a 6 month waiting list to see a new pdoc, but maybe you need to get on that list? Adequate sleep usually curbs mania for me.
