A lot of people consider BPD people "attention-seeking". They're told a lot of things that put a simple answer on a complex problem.

Possible trigger:

A psychiatrist that I met at two mental hospitals would shut me down before I said anything and told me I was having a "temper tantrum." He would then give me Zoloft which made me sweat all the time and gave me migraines. I refuse to see him now.

I'm fortunate that most of the mental health professionals I meet are helpful, but I'm still wary of everyone else.
