I think you should. I didn't go when I should have and I regret it. Maybe like bluebicycle said they won't even make you do inpatient, just a program where you can get help in groups and a pdoc can change your meds. If you feel in danger right now definitely go, but otherwise be honest with your tdoc and trust her opinion.
