I have changed careers three times. The first career I quit because I was bored and unchallenged. The second career I quit because I was not fit to do it. The third career, which I am doing now, I like doing. I think if I had stuck to the first career and second career, I would be miserable and unhappy. Now, I am happy. I have a rather laid-back job teaching English. I like it a lot. However, the demand for this field is decreasing. Thus, I might face reality sooner rather than later and change careers again to translation and interpreting with some teaching as a side job. I don't see anything wrong with changing jobs or careers. However, if you become bored easily and unmotivated with each one, there may be an underlying problem that needs to be addressed. I like working to a certain extent. It keeps me busy and focused. I think if I were doing a job that I am not interested in doing and find boring, then I would also quit and find another job that I like to do. May be, you have not found what you truly want to do because you don't like what you are doing and may be don't find the work challenging enough. I think once you find a job that suits your character, you won't have such problems anymore.
