I saw a bit of it back in 2010 when it was a limited showing around america. it did not last long. if you watched the fill theatrical version there is a disclaimer in it saying the movie "though based on a true story, does contain fictionalized characters, events and situations, it is not meant to be a literal representation of the disorder called DID" that right there told me from the get go to expect this movie to not be real in the sense of actual DID disorder. to watch it as it was meant to be, the life story of a person with falsified for ratings characters, events and situations.

many people here in america did not appreciate a mental disorder being advertized as true then that disclaimer and tv interviews by the directors stating it actually the situation called director's cut, directors rights, editing where as long as they keep to the .......general...... plot line they have the right to edit, cut and add to anything they want to edit out, edit in, falsify....

it was cut from the movie circuit here in america only after a couple months if I'm remember correctly.

it continued to run in canada for a while after that then discontinued when it wasnt making much money. then along comes online streaming and its active again in various editing , falsifying and so on that online streaming companies can do after they obtain a licence with the movie company for the rights.

my suggestion to anyone who wants to see it, first make sure you are in a good place mentally to watch it and two watch it with the understanding that though its marketed as ......based on a true story..... the producers, editors, streamers and so on do things to the movie to ensure they get the ratings / watcher ship, and money they are looking for.

even the most well known movie/ book out there about DID has been proven to contain misleading and falsified content admitted by her own journals and artwork.
