We tend not to throw out our "parts" and old pots, etc. My husband got us a new coffee grinder for Christmas like I instructed him and it was complicated, loud, and I wasn't going near it! Well, it broke last week and I wanted to go right out and get a better one but he surprised me by telling me he hadn't thrown out the old one. We were forever breaking the glass pots too so we always had an extra and often a whole extra coffee maker. Now we don't have room for stuff we don't "need" so don't have as many extras.
