I would like to see one good movie that's a true representation of DID.But,movies are made to make money so I don't think that's going to happen.

just a guess here but you probably wont find one that is 100% true representation on film or even in books. you see there's more to having a mental disorder then what is disclosed.
example most people here on psych central did not know that the OSDD was actually a dissociative disorder with disorder names for each of the diagnostic criteria. why because except for 2 or three diagnosis names listed as examples in the DSM 5 the rest are not disclosed. you find out that info when you are diagnosed...
well its kind of like that when looking for accurate and 100% true films, streaming or even on youtube. even with these blogs, pod casts and websites by professionals, survivors, the mentally challenged, physically challenged, want to be's and such, you only get the version of who ever is making the clips, films, uploads. you dont get the actual information that must not be released.
think of it like inviting a news crew, film directors, editors to come into your home and film you and your family. you wouldnt allow them to follow you into the rest room, shower, go through every one of your cupboards, drawers, attac, basement storages, your journals.... there are just some things you dont share with just any body. maybe theres a special item on your shelf but you know its possible the person who gave it to you will see that its been broken or that item is missing off your shelf and you dont want someone to know you gave it away. in other words your life on film would be drastically lacking important information about you and edited accordingly. what ends up on film about your life may be based on true but its not 100% true representation of you and your life.
as strange as it seems there is more to having a dissociative disorder then what you can find. its these things that you can not find anywhere that tells a treatment provider that you do in fact have the disorder.
my suggestion is dont worry about trying to find info, movies and such. just be your self how ever and what ever you are and your treatment provider will be able to help you with your problems as they present in you. not saying its not worth it finding these films and such and it wouldnt be nice because it would
but I have found when I really thought about why I was trying to find actual 100% true representations it was because I was curious as to how I measure up to them. once I took that out of this I no longer had an interest to watch mentally ill people talk in films and on the internet about their mental illnesses, just like I am not interested in watching people get hurt and laugh (AFV and such) I now prefer watching positive films that are not filled with mental illness. what matters to me is that my treatment providers know what my problems are as they present in me and they help me to be stable so that I can have a good life with my family and friends.
