If you have time, may I suggest to you to pick up a little book called "The Miracle of Mindfulness" translated by Mobi Ho. It's by Thich Nhat Hanh, who teaches us simply and beautifully how to use the practice of meditation. Great thing is you can begin meditation right away after beginning this short but clear book.
I thought it might help you to stay centered on who you are.
