He went to urgent care a few days ago, ended up coding, and was in a coma with organ failure. He passed tonight, and it crushes me that it happened so quickly (over a few days) and he didn't even have a chance to realize what was going on or say goodbye to anyone. I hope he was aware that people came to say goodbye to him at least. I am sure he had no idea how much he impacted so many lives, including mine. I am sad to have lost him in our lives, but more sad for him for the loss of the life he deserved. I just am so sorry this happened to him and in disbelief.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It must be so difficult to lose someone so young. It is very unsettling to hear of someone's unexpected death.

It may bring comfort to you that the last faculty to go is hearing. So even people who are unconscious can hear what people say. So they heard the messages people gave to them.

Some people tell me they talk to their loved ones that passed and feel some sense of closure. Hope you find the support you are looking for here or possibly with a grief support group.
