Yes me too, I tried audio books , and same, they didn’t work for me either. I just kept forgetting what had been said after a while. I only seem to be able to retain a few minutes worth of stuff..I hate it..
I kinda stopped giving myself a hard time over forgetting names and the usual stuff as I used to get sick of myself...but the reading is a shame I agree, can’t read all my lovely romantic novels by Danielle Steel I used to adore 😩
My psychologist seems to think keep trying it’s a retraining issue, and it can come back...something to do with the cognitive side of the brain, by the time she got to that bit I’d lost her, and couldn’t concentrate ..I find it sooooo exhausting.. sorry you struggle too 🌺
