It's nearer 30 here which I guess is mid 80's. I know what you mean about the heat. it's nice on holiday but not if you're trying to sleep, sweat all the time and it just makes you feel tired all the time. I don't think it's super hot. it's just that our summers are usually rubbish and we never get used to heat day after day. I'm not complaining .
If you live in a house try leaving the hatch to the loft open. Then the heat can escape through the roof and not build up in the loft.
I would happily put up with a bad winter if we had a good summer.
Think about day after day grey, damp, miserable weather that we had in the winter that seemed to go on forever. I'd rather have it like it is now. But I guess I like the british weather for it's variety.
