I'm not a Buddhist, but I love meditation because it's helped me more than any other tool (excluding science / truth seeking), and I have to admit a lot of their teachings are amazing. Albert Einstein said a lot of great things about Buddhism.
Dogma - a principle or set of principles laid down by an authority as
incontrovertibly true. Abrahamic religions are dogmatic religions. If you question them, then the religion claims you're going to hell to be tortured for eternity.
Buddhism is a
dharmic religion, not to be confused with dogma. In Buddhism, dharma means "cosmic law and order", and is also applied to the teachings of the Buddha.
