What would you suggest or what have you done in this situation?
If I eat food in the morning, I feel pretty nauseous because I'm not hungry, so I don't eat anything. However, if I don't eat anything and take my meds, I get double vision and my eyes move up and down uncontrollably. Then my balance is off and I start to feel pretty nauseous as a result.
I've tried taking my meds before bed, but lately, they've been keeping me up at night, so I switched them to the morning. And the only way I was able to switch them to morning was by sleeping off the nausea.
So as far as I can tell, I have two options: ask for an anti-nausea medication like Zofran (which I've taken before and works) or take my meds at night with a sleepy med. But I can't stand Seroquel, so I don't want that, and Klonopin interacts with my Ritalin. I could ask the pharmacist, but I'm pretty sure they'd say the same thing or suggest melatonin. And my pdoc: same thing or switch APs, which I don't want.
If I reduce my Rexulti dose from 4mg back to 3mg, then I don't get the nausea, and I don't stay up at night, so that's great. However, when I was on 3mg, I was getting hallucinations everyday multiple times a day despite not being in an episode. That's why my dose was increased.
I don't want another AP since everything makes me far too sedated (i.e., 12 hrs a night) EXCEPT Abilify and Rexulti. But Abilify doesn't work for me. I get depression and lota of hallucinations on that.
