I had to break up with a lady that I loved her very much. She actually was my first love. However, she was still in love with her ex husband. Years later I was still in love with her. Many years later I am starting to get a handle on this. So I understand what you mean when you still have strong feelings for him. So you know how difficult it was for me to leave her.
