I like Biofreeze too. I have a gel but it usually falls on the floor! The easiest is the roll on that's just like a roll on deodorant. It doesn't last long enough for me but worked better than Lidocaine.
I've become terribly anxious because of my sciatica/ spinal stenosis. Yes, anxiety leads to pain, which leads back to anxiety! It sucks!! I'm on Savella but too small a dose so far. It's an antidepressant and also for fibromyalgia (not sure I have that but should help for nerve pain). I can't sit or lie down without pain. Opposite of most. Driving is very hard.
