Home from a 13 hour volunteer 'work' day! My coworkers and I met at 8am and made labels and wrapped and sorted all the toys we'd previously bought. Then we loaded them all up in a u-haul and took them to the children's museum where the event was and unloaded everything there and then sorted them in groups by family all the way around the room (presents for 176 kids). We had a Santa and Mrs Claus and had dinner for the families too. I was the Elf and scampered around gathering the packages for each family as them came in. It was SO much fun!! A lot of work, my body kinda aches head to toe, I'm going to sleep well tonight. The joy on the children's faces as they looked at their presents was priceless. Some of them threw their arms around Santa and gave him giant hugs. It was so sweet!! I really really enjoyed myself today.
