I researched him online a couple years ago, read his bio and how he came to have his own show, etc. He dropped out of being a T a zillion years ago, said he wasn't any good at it, it wasn't his thing! He met Oprah as a psychologist who trains people going to court how to dress, carry themselves, etc. so they're seen in the best light. Oprah had to go to court for whatever that "beef" thing was and he was her handler, teaching her about going to court.

I'm not into solving huge problems in an hour's time? I don't care if you're the best therapist on the planet, (a) that's not enough time to get to know someone and for that person to "learn" enough and (b) it's in front of an audience; excuse me, I believe that's called "entertainment"!
