Whatch out with SSI! Look it up to be certain about the limitations. SSDI permits me $840 80 hours a month limitations. I remember reading somewhere that SSI is much less.

Update: Go to a lawyer. You cannot afford to make mistakes. There are a rather complex set of rules that determine the income you can make while on SSI. Also there is a stipulation that earned income can reduce your SSI benefit. You can find this here in the paragraph “Working and SSI Benefits”.
