Hi Amy. Sorry you are upset about your partner. The fear of abandonment trait of this disease is really difficult to deal with. I know I have done some crazy things because of the fear of abandonment. I hope that you will fare better than I did in that way. Someone is always here if you wanna talk. There are also live chats on PC, I think. I have not been to one in a while so I am not sure. I do have a couple of suggestions that might or might not work for you. Join DBT or BPD online groups. You can find them here, of course and also on Facebook and Reddit and specific websites dedicated to BPD. Also, I recommend going on YouTube and subscribing to the therapist Kati Morton’s channel. She deals with all sorts of things in the mental health field, including BPD and DBT. Also, there is a video of Marsha Linehan by a Presbyterian Hospital I think about DBT, which is a treatment that was developed by Marsha. I would be cautious about going on YouTube though and just watching anything about BPD because there are some pretty harsh and inaccurate videos out there. I think most DBT videos are good though.
I hope some of this helps. Just keep breathing.
