You seem to be an artistic consumer (as most of us are) and that’s a very good thing.

Hi Amicus. Welcome (unless I missed you previously).
I think when people say they're "artists" and don't practice or consume it, they tend to feel a spiritual or intuitive connection to the arts that they do not explore. Myself, rather than angry at them, I'm sorry for them--that they're not exploring what intrigues them or giving it a go at a creating themselves. I'm sure there's a lot of undiscovered talent because some people are just to busy or negative about themselves or whatnot.
But there's probably another kind of person you're referring to, the one that boasts a lot and is very haughty without anything backing it up. As for myself, that doesn't make me too angry, unless it's extreme, but I can see where you're coming from.
How do you guys feel about mixed media?
And I just remembered: i think an important discussion to have is giving credit to artists when it's due. I'm not like nazi about people who image-drop without a name, but some artists I know are sensitive about that. In generally I tend to lean in favor of crediting artists when possible. Increasing their "sphere", if you know what I mean. if you like them, why not!
