Are you on other meds too?
I'm not a doctor, but that combo alone seems a little strange for bipolar. That is a lot of Wellbutrin. I thought the maximum dosing for Wellbutrin was around 450 mg? Seems like it would make a person prone to mania as well as put you in danger of overdosing?
I took Cymbalta for several years after my daughter was born, first for post-partum depression then depression. Only later was my diagnosis changed to bipolar when I showed up for a pdoc appointment super manic. I did pretty well on the Cymbalta without too much else for the first year or so (of course, post baby, hormones and things are just weird, and I was nursing too, husband & I weighed the pros & cons and it wasn't a decision we made lightly). I can't remember what dosage of Cymbalta I ended up on, maybe 90 mg/day?
But I also do have fibromyalgia. They often use low dose (30 mg) Cymbalta to help treat fibro pain. (I hurt so bad when I had to come off the Cymbalta, it was a nightmare.) So it could be that if I was feeling less pain from the fibromyalgia, my mood was better too.
