Sometimes we do not text at all, maybe just appointment reminders the day before if we are meeting at a strange time or day.

I can text in moderation. I usually save it for a crisis or feeling bad but lately he has let me check in midweek just to say hi. I might send him a pic of wildlife I captured on my phone camera or maybe something funny.
