I took a CBT course with a psychiatrist a way back and it was a set 12wk program I was aware of up front. I really wish we had actually talked a great deal rather than it be 'educational' in nature.

Today,, I am now taking such talk therapy. It is not going where I would like it to but we at least banter back and forth. We have not discussed a specific closure date but we do have a goal set to accomplish upon which she has done her job and things will come to an end. The goal? To return me to the workforce.

I am this moment waiting to hear back about a position I somehow had the strength to apply for. I've had several (good) interviews and am expecting a call to follow up on their decision.

I don't want to terminate the therapy. We are only several months into it and there is so much more to talk about (llike we haven't even touched on the sources of my PTSD). I must accept though that this is exactly what will happen. The goal isn't my own. She has been hired by veterans' affairs Canada to get me back to work. Once that happens then it is goodbye.
