So I received a call today. It was one I have been long waiting for. My daughter reached out to ask for help with her anxiety. First off, kudows to her for doing so and not trying to soldier through the discomfort and panic.

She definitely has a great deal to be anxious and stressed out about. I won't detail it but just know there is a lot of heavy stuff going on in her life including a great deal of change and uncertainty.

I am not surprised. I have felt it from her numerous times over the years. You can ask how someone is doing over and over but they need to realise it is a problem themself.

Anyway, as I told her to see her doctor it occurred to me to tell her that there is a pretty rich family history of mood disorders. It got me wondering how prevalent this is amongst the mental health community?

Myself? I can point to a handful of people that I am aware of just on my mother's side of the family alone. How many more suffered to my unawares?
