I believe that superstition is too often linked to OCD. At least, it is in my superstitious OCD-infested Jewish family. Therefore, I do my best to discourage any superstitions I tend toward.
According to Kabbalah the number 13 is consider lucky, it has something to do with invoking the presence of God. I have absolutely no connection the 13 except that it's a number. I'm kind-of fond of it.
I'm fascinated by symbology, shrines, and such. Someone stuck a magnetic St. Jude on the pole facing my front door. I find that fascinating. I'm going to give him a new paint job...something florescent.
I love the moon, especially when it's full. And I'm quite sure that, just as the moon pulls the tides, it also effects other earthly activities.
I've been a witch in several past lives and a nun in some others.
I adore cats; my dearest, truest soul-mates have been black cats. Why on God's green earth would anyone attach anything negative to cats?
No, I am not superstitious. But I do recognize that I have inherited some specific powers, whether I like it or not.
