Today I lost 17.8 pounds. So I am 0.2 pounds away from 18 pounds. But what do the decimal points mean? My scale goes from 0.1-0.9 and there is 16 ounces in a pound.

I feel very stupid for asking here but Google is not helpful today. I asked Google what the decimal point system means, and it showed me how to weigh meth, and another article provided instructions on how to step on a scale...Step one, remove clothes, step two, place your feet on the scale.... No. That's not what I want to know.

Sorry for such a stupid question. Its first thing in the morning and Im terrible at math even when Im fully awake.
