I kind of like him in a way. I wish I had a "role model" like him in my life. He is right to the point and no BS...I kind of like that. I am sure it is "hurtful" some of the things he says. He either turns you off or makes you think...

I saw his show where a woman was molested by her step-father when she was little and the mother caught him. He was molesting her for many, many years. The mother did not leave him or protect her daughter. Dr. Phil had no mercy for the mother. As the mother kept making excuses as to why she stayed.
The step-father was also on the show but when interviewed by Dr. Phil his back was toward the camera. Dr. Phil ask him if he molested other children and he said no.. The thing is when Dr. Phil came back from the interview he said he did not believe the guy at all. Not many folks would come right out and say that.. They'd beat about the bush hoping the guy was being honest. Not flat out call him a liar. Gotta say the Dr Phil has guts.........

I don't know if he is a good or bad shrink. As previously mentioned he no longer is a therapist because he felt he wasn't good at it. I think a lot more folks that are T's should be that honest. Honest being they aren't good at being a T
