I have been on a Lexapro/Lamictal/Klonopin mixture since October. My doctor in inpatient warned that I shouldn't be taking Lexapro, but my pdoc when I got out said it was fine.
I have been *relatively* stable since then, able to move out of my parent's place, get a part-time job, hold down a relationship, etc.
However, my pdoc just moved and retired so I had to get a new one. She said it was incredibly dangerous I was taking an antidepressant and tapered me off and then raised my mood stabilizer.
It has been about 4-5 weeks since then and I have almost completely reverted back to how I was before hospitalization. Suicidal thoughts, paranoia, and irritation.
I know that you are supposed to give new medication changes about 6-8 weeks to settle down but I am afraid that I will not make it that long.
Is anyone else on antidepressants? Should I try and find a new pdoc or is she correct about it being dangerous?
