The problem is with SSRIs of which I don't know enough to know if your medication falls into this category. Now I could be wrong but I have read a great deal that it is common for a bipolar person to be first misdiagnosed as having Depression and that they be then prescribed an SSRI. What then happens is that the SSRI may go on to trigger a bipolar episode. I myself am just such an example of this.
