A year or so ago, according to my notes, you told me it's pointless to tell me that you care or tell me how much you care. Your reason was that it would make me dependent.

Do you still believe that in your heart? Because I do need to know that you care, and one way I know is by you TELLING me.

Is it wrong or bad to "need / want" to HEAR that you care? How does that make anyone dependent?? I'm sure you don't feel this reservation with the real people in your life who aren't your patients... Why's it different for patients?
