happy, I've had ptsd for most of my life. The kicker is, I didn't know that until about ten years ago. Oh, I knew there was something wrong with me but I blamed myself and didn't even see what had been happening to me as abuse.
So I guess my answer is, I think you respond to trauma immediately but that doesn't mean you necessarily see or understand what's happening inside you.
