Recently, I started 2 meds near the same time, Wellbutrin XL and Protonix 20 mg. I had been on Protonix 40 mg for about a month post-ulcer surgery and stopped it thinking I didn't need it any more. Boy, did the gastro-doc chew me out at my last appointment! He said I could take a lesser dose of Protonix but don't think about stopping it any time soon.
Because of feeling down, my pdoc put me on Wellbutrin XL (well, the generic).
I started taking both of these medications at the same time. I take them both in the morning but the Protonix is taken at least 30 minutes before eating and all my morning meds. Lately, I have been getting very blurry vision in the morning, about an hour or two after taking these meds. It's so bad, I can't type very accurately on the computer. I'm thinking the culprit is the Wellbutrin because I took Protonix in a higher dose without this problem, but...when I was on the higher dose Protonix, I was hurting and hurting badly most of the time. I didn't really type on the computer, mostly used an iPad instead.
The crazy thing is this Wellbutrin is extended release, right? By lunchtime, my vision clears up, and I can read/see what I'm typing on the computer just fine.
I have a pdoc appointment coming up next week. I'll bring it up to him then. It is very frustrating to try to type emails in the morning now or to read a book because of this problem.
Which of the 2 is most likely causing this? Any ideas?
