having been through this myself. my advice is to be kind to yourself. you're "pigging out" as you put it..because you're hungry(though not physically). the way that i recovered from "food abuse" was to quit judging myself, figure out what i was really hungry for (surprise, it wasn't pasta) and start taking care of myself in different ways. quit being so hard on yourself. maybe you just need to give yourself permission to pig out until you can see the doc. there are worse things...and remember...you're really just trying to take care of pain and food has few repercussions than some other methods of easing pain. hang in there love grace
