The action doesn't always just happen inside the tray

: there's space waiting to be created, boundaries to be explored, resistance (of the matter) to be encountered and maybe to be overcome or to be just felt...
The idea behind: Whatever is inside will eventually manifest itself in the clay/clayfield.
And yes, sometimes there is lots of water involved, which makes it a completely different sensory experience.
So yes, it
is messy. Which probably ist part of the fun as well. Having this space where I have the license to be messy, definitely brings out the kid/s inside of me. Also, I've learnt (the hard way) to make my appointments in the evening, when I don't have to go anywhere but home afterwards... It's only half the fun when you have to watch out so your clothes look presentable afterwards
