Hi buffy, yes, I have done EMDR about a half dozen times with my therapist; the last time was about a year ago. It helped me process traumatic memories and get unstuck. Just last session, my T said we need to do some more EMDR because I am having flashbacks and PTS symptoms again. So we will try it again. I felt it really helped me, and it is quite fast acting compared to more traditional therapy. My T really likes to use it because he says it works so quickly compared to other therapeutic techniques he has used for the same problem.

One thing I found is that going through the whole protocol really is hard in 50 minutes. We do better when we can have a long session, say 70 minutes. After EMDR sessions, I can feel very exhausted. Other times I have felt very elated, almost high. Be prepared for after effects.
