My grandma's official cause of death is listed as advanced dementia. It's very sad to hear that there was nothing we could have done to save her when she was lying on her bed with low vitals.

My parents are in denial about the cause of death, but I believe it since the dementia had gotten really bad to the point it was preventing her from eating and drinking.

At least her death was peaceful and that she was in no pain, according to my dad, who was holding her hand as she took her last breaths. I'm glad that she was surrounded by family.
