In other news, I’m having an EMG test done this month where they stick a needle that is an electrode into your muscle and LEAVE it there while they run tests to check for nerve damage. They said to expect some discomfort. Really? I’m terrified of needles so I’m really dreading this. If anybody has had this done in connection with carpal tunnel, please let me know. Hopefully, the reality is not that bad.

Had needles and electronic current used to detect nerve damage in my arms and legs and there was no discomfort but I don't have a problem with needles. I don't watch them stick me tho either. A trick I learned long ago for needles is to clench the opposite arm and relax the arm they are sticking you. It was trickier with the legs but curling the toes of the opposite leg worked. I have nerve damage in both arms and one leg due to spinal disk problems.
