My son (black/white) is in the Navy, and he continues to experiences horrible racism mostly from whites, both on base and in the surrounding areas when he's out with his black friends. I raised him to tolerate this abuse without lashing out, but I wonder where his breaking point might be. Everyone has one. I don't want him to become bitter. So far he hasn't experienced any racism from blacks for being half white.

How is it possible for him to "start fresh?"
