I understand your frustration, but living (or trying) that way is praised for a very valuable and valid reason, or point.
The so called "help" books are extremely popular with you and I and everyone else where mental health is a concern.
I've learned (I'm dumb) that it's all a "balancing act". Try to consume as much as your heart desires, then afterwards...well it's an ongoing process to want to better ourselves.
I thought to myself "I've tried everything over and over again and I suck at this" then to my surprise, I'm slowly getting by...
Tip: most cliches are true.
Find a balance in life and only look at failures when you don't know where you're heading. Learn from your mistakes and go for it.
