Oddly enough, this topic never came up in our sessions.

And yes, I'm working on my self esteem and social skills, but it's easier said than done. LOL

And I'm an avid reader. My recent favorite read is "Boundaries" by Cloud & Townsend, Wired to Connect and Language of Emotions.

Those are some good books. I enjoyed them. I’m an avid reader as well.

I’m very sorry for the loss of your son.

I think it takes some patience and time to connect with others. I have difficulty with this as well. It’s hard to risk being rejected and some of us are more sensitive to it than others. I’ve had some very bad experiences with people and I’m afraid to put myself out there.

I have been told not to let the behaviors of others change me. I’ve also been told the right people will accept you as you are and stay in your life. That has been true with my hubby. We both love the crazy quirks in each other and don’t try to change them.

I have found its much more difficult with friendships so I completely relate to your struggles to make connections. Keep at it though. You sound sincere and the right people will appreciate that. ❤️
Thanks for this!
