I hear you...even if I probably should go to the ER sometimes, I don't because the copay is ridiculous. I have to evaluate health insurance plans for my work to decide which ones to offer the employees and I'm looking at the cost of the deductibles and the cost of the ER as one of the main factors because I know what the employees make and therefore what they might be able to afford. Its a big responsibility--and its pretty stressful because I don't want my own personal opinions to color what options I'm able to provide the other employees. I wish health care was more affordable in general but I hate how expensive the ER is.
