Today we got the call that the judge awarded my husband SSI after being denied the first time, but without having to go to the hearing. As I said in my earlier thread, they just reciently switched me to Medicaid/Medicare duel eligible but not getting SSDI checks because of my former work status. I have some questions.
When my husband gets SSI, I know the max amount we can get together a month is 1125. But will they try to duel enrolled him into Medicare and Medicaid also because if my work history and I'm married to him?
In a case such as this, how quickly would he probably see first check/backpay? (My caseworker said they do SSI pretty quick, maybe even starting next month)
