So I have been on and off Seroquel for about 5 years now. It seems to be the only drug that works for me but I gain weight on it. So then we take me off try a bunch of different drugs but end up back on Seroquel. I started Metformin with the last combo of drugs and lost 15 pounds. I was so happy but then had to go back on Seroquel but this time extended release. My weight held steady but the extended release wasn’t working so back to regular Seroquel. I have since gained 20 pounds even with the Metformin. So basically from all the times on Seroquel I have gained over 70 pounds. I don’t know what to do. It is the only drug that keeps me somewhat stable but I can’t stand the weight gain. What can I do?
