perhaps it was a legend..... but, i get things mixed up sometimes.... similar to the term 'america' .. it has an alternate meaning (several actually) aside from 'naming' the people...

thank you Tomi fr the input.... there are different versions of 'knowledge' and i was looking for this particular aspect of an equation to fit the pieces...

no prob... i can research it later.... but if it wasnt in fact the Lakota i am referring to, it may have been a different native group altogether i'm thinking of..... there is such a story i beleive... just need to research a little more is all... thanks again : )
