I am sorry your friend isn't doing well.

Is there anyone she knows who would be willing to let you know if something happens to her?

This type of thing has happened to me, too, when an online friend has been ill or has passed on and nobody has known who to contact online to tell them.

I had one friend give her husband a list of names and email addresses of online friends to contact when she passed. (She had terminal colon cancer.)
I have the same arrangement with my husband. Does she have a friend who might do this for her?
