I know you're in the States, but if you Google "Summary of Product Characteristics" and the drug name, it should take you to a document that lists side effects and warnings, and what to do in the event of an allergy/ how long things take to have effect and so on. It's a European thing, I don't know what it's called in America, but the info is the same.
