What I mean is I can't hold a constant opinion about something. I want to be the same as others but also special. I absolutely hate new age as it triggers me terribly and 2 weeks later I buy a crystal. I'm a militant vegetarian and a year later I eat sausages and steaks. One day I'm a good Catholic and a week later I read a pagan forum, then I'm an agnostic, 2 days later I'm scared of demons.. I get absolutely excited about some healthy eating fashion which lasts about a week...

This happens constantly in both small and larger areas.
I absolutely hate this about myself and sometimes people around me think I'm a liar or pretentious but I always try to be 100% honest, I just genuinely change my attitudes so fast.

Is this a character flaw and a sign of weakness or what is it?
Is there someone with similar issues? Is there a name for this?
my .....opinion....... is no inconsistancy is not a symptom of a mental disorder nor is it a character flaw or sign of weakness. and every human being does this.

reason I believe this is because its just part of how the brain works... watch a new born - 6 month old and you will see their eyes dart first to one thing then change their mind and move on to something different, watch a toddler and what do you see but a child wandering around playing first with this then with that, if you ask a verbal toddler to tell you a story about their toy they never tell the same thing twice which shows their opinions about the toy changes from moment to moment. watch a school age child doing their homework or playing or watching tv and you will see their expressions and postures change as their thoughts and behaviors change from moment to moment. ask any teen ager what they think of that movie they watched and they will also be inconsistant one moment saying this about the movie and its characters and music and then next saying something completely different. Adults are the same way we change our thoughts, behaviors and opinions from moment to moment depending upon whats going on in the moment.

if you would like to go more into detail about this my suggestion is maybe take a class on anatomy and physiology or biology or visit your local libraries biology department where you can find books on how the brain works and how what we experience through our senses naturally causes human beings to have many different thoughts, opinions and behaviors based on what their senses are taking in and processing. its really really interesting subjects.
