I don't send friend requests unless I want to PM with someone, because I limit PMs to friends and contacts. If someone sends me a PM, and I feel I have gotten to know them enough on the forums, I will accept. Otherwise, I do not. I've had bad experiences before, so I try to be a little discerning. Unfortunately, there are people who troll forums on the internet, so that's one of the ways I screen people. It's not personal, just trying to protect myself.

I love making friends on here, but I have a process for vetting people. I think we all do, on some level.
