I was diagnosed at the first session with my pdoc, but I was manic, and well, that's kinda the defining characteristic. Just make an appointment with a psychiatrist and get on with the program; trying to game things to get a quicker result will likely result in no result worth having. You could also get lucky and have the first mood stabilizer your tried on work; its not that rare of an occurrence so don't get all hopeless on the speed topic.

First things though... make an appointment with a real psychiatrist for an evaluation.
