I don’t understand what friending on here does. Does it allow them to PM you? I haven’t sent any requests, as I don’t understand what the function does. I have accepted requests from anyone I interact with on the forums. I have also received requests from brand new users who never interacted with me on posts and I ignored the request, suspiciously.

Because I have laid out all my personal issues and like the anonymity here, I view this as a peer support group, and haven’t taken friendships here to RL. But I truly do think of these anonymous strangers as friends. On some level we are very good friends in the abyss of the universe ;-)
